Thanksgiving is fun for some and stressful for others. Whether you’re going to a family get together, meeting your significant other’s family, or having fun at a Friendsgiving party, you're going to want to feel comfortable, stylish, and well-put together. If your clothes are too tight it might make you feel like a stuffed turkey. You want your clothes to be roomy and stretchy, not tight and constraining. You want to be able to have seconds because you've been starving yourself all week for this occasion, or another slice of that pie your auntie made. Let me give you some tips on what to wear so you're feeling more like yourself, and enjoy the festivities! Choose a top that skims the body instead of being too tight. You want to be comfortable enough to enjoy the moment. If you're planning on wearing a dress go for something flowy like an A-line, shift or empire dress. A sheath dress will work, but if you’re worried about showing a little food baby, pair it with a blazer or a cardigan to camouflage what you ate. Leave room to grow, wear a skirt or pant with an elastic waistband. It will give you room to taste every dish on the menu. Think relaxed and flowy. Pair them with tights if it's chilly, or go bare-legged if the temps are higher. Want to wear jeans? Go with a relaxed fit jean and make sure it's not too tight at the waist. You want to be comfortable sitting around in your food coma, enjoying great company and laughs. Other Style Tips:
- Wearing print will camouflage any spills that land on your clothes. - Select Fall and Holiday colors that are in season. - Pair simple pieces with fun accessories, like a statement necklace. - Spice up an outfit with a tall boot or fun color shoe. I hope you have grown inspired for any Thanksgiving parties you may attend this year, and that any of your what-to-wear concerns have been put at ease.
